What are threads?

We’ve highlighted words and phrases that may not be familiar to you. If you see some text that looks like this, move your mouse over it to see an explanation.

Threads are topics of conversation that are important or relevant to Lingfield Point. That doesn’t mean to say that they are focused entirely on Lingfield Point; these are discussions that have universal applicability. We’re passionate about community and a shared involvement in the day-to-day interests that shape how we work and play, as well as the big picture. To this end, we’ve engineered our website so that the conversation can take place in that same grand scope via the magic of Twitter.

Blog entries on this site are marked as belonging to one or more threads – you’ll see them as the balls of yarn at the top of or next to the entry. Clicking any of these thread links will take to to an archive of entries, replies and tweets belonging to this topic. So if you’re interested in regeneration then you can click the thread link and find out more about regeneration, and maybe choose to contribute your opinion on the subject too!

It’s easy to get involved with a thread and you can choose one of several methods to have your say: by commenting directly on the entry, replying to the corresponding tweet on Twitter or simply using the #lingfieldpoint hashtag along with any of the specific thread hashtags (i.e. #regen, #sustain and so on). We highly recommend the Twitter route as it broadens the visibility of the conversation, allowing more people to get involved.
